Ah, we lost the whole nine yards in the election. Stuff happens. Yesterday I despaired, today I start planning my escape.

For years the GOP has said "we love the homeland" while they invested anywhere but here, and you know, if they take away everything in the country that I care about (education, the environment, peace and prosperity, individual freedoms, privacy, secular government), then why stay? Why shouldn't I take my brain power and positive economic impact and go somewhere they appreciate me? If they make this country hell on earth for folks like me, why not do like so many did in the early days of the US ... leave an oppressive country for a more friendly one.
